BE THEIR ROCK
BE THEIR ROCK
In the village of Michamwi, 600 school children will sit down to something every child deserves: a warm, nutritious meal, cooked fresh in their own school kitchen. We’re building it now – the kitchen, the table, the garden – and every day brings it closer.
A daily balanced meal doesn’t just prevent malnutrition. It brings children to school – and keeps them there.

In Italy, the family table is where you belong. It’s what you lean on. It’s where food, knowledge and love are passed down.
The founders of The Rock brought that table to Zanzibar — a restaurant on a rock in the ocean, built on Italian warmth and Zanzibari soul.
Be Their Rock extends that same table to 600 children. Daily meals, cooked and shared. A garden that teaches them to grow what they eat. Traditions passed down — so the table sustains them for life.
We’re not running a charity. We’re extending a family table.
Redesigning the existing school kitchen with functional spaces and professional equipment.
A covered dining area, built for the children to eat together. A table of their own.
A structured weekly and monthly meal framework — balanced food groups, variety, seasonality.
Adjacent to the classrooms and already being cultivated by school staff. It needs water supply and proper fencing to thrive.
From garden to kitchen to table: children learn what good food is — and carry it home to their families.
The garden feeds the canteen, reducing costs. It teaches children to grow what they eat. And in time, produce sold to local hotels can sustain the project itself — connecting school and community for the long term.
This isn’t charity that runs out. It’s a table that keeps extending.

YOU’RE ALREADY
PART OF THIS.
Every contribution builds the kitchen, covers the table, fences the
garden, feeds a child.
